"Media" and "Marketing" sound like simple words don’t they – indeed they are.

Maybe they are two of the most powerful nouns or verbs in the world. Maybe we are all influenced by them both, every single day of our lives?

Whatever you think, this Imagine workshop will let you explore precisely why they are absolutely vital to every single business on the planet no matter how massive (Apple, Nike, Google, Coca Cola) or how small (Jo Bloggs carpet fitters, Jack Hobbs Gardening Services).

You will get to know how the media shape views, thoughts and awareness and how YOU can use this to your own advantage. Sounds cool? You better believe it.

As the advert used to say, "it’s good to talk" and this workshop will be all about chatting, giving your views and coming up with solutions to reach who you think your audience is. We will also explore everything from Dragons Den to Newsnight, X Factor to Hollyoaks, analysing their style, audience and delivery as well as the written media from The Times, The Sun to Heat and Hello!

This workshop is bags of fun for the creative minded (or nosey) amongst you. Together we will be generating the vital publicity and marketing needed to promote your “Imagine You Can” event as well as working with local newspapers and radio to "big up" what it’s all about.

Up for it? Good, that’s the right answer!

What we will say is you don’t need to be a brilliant writer or great at spelling (ever heard of spell check?) and nor do you need to have all the answers. It’s not about that, it’s about a melting pot of ideas, solving it together and coming up with a funky strategy to blow minds. No boundaries, no restrictions. Instead, a blank canvas for your creative minds to run wild on.

Oh, we do insist on one thing. Come with a list of your 5 favourite songs to bring along to the workshop. We LOVE music at Imagine and think it’s necessary in our workshops to "let the thoughts flow".

So if you fancy snooping around the other workshops, asking awkward questions, shouting about what you are doing and how bloomin’ good you all are, then this is definitely your kinda workshop.
