1. GENERAL STATEMENT OF INTENT
Imagine You Can TV recognises its duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Regulations made under it. It is the aim of the Management of Imagine you can TV to meet those legal obligations by conducting its business in a safe and healthy environment and in addition to this, promote a positive Health and Safety culture within the Company, achieved by the suitable and sufficient management of risk.
The Management Team considers it to be a binding commitment that Health and Safety will rank as a prominent and permanent feature of all the Company activities. Our objective is to supply high quality sales and servicing to all of our customers whilst seeking to reduce and eliminate accidents and to provide a safe and healthy working environment as far as is reasonably practicable, for all our employees.
1.2 Specific Obligations
In order to achieve the above objective Imagine You Can TV will comply with all Statutory Requirements and seek, so far as is reasonably practicable, to ensure that safe systems of work are in place and:-
- Assess and control the risk, to which employees, clients, performers and others are exposed to as a result of Company activities.
- Ensure the safe provision, use and maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Establish safe systems of work.
- Establish safe arrangements for use, handling, transport and storage of articles and substances used by the Company.
- Maintain safe access to and safe egress from places of work.
- Monitor and manage work environments to support the good health and welfare of employees.
- Provide sufficient information, training and supervision to ensure employees. facilitators and tutors can carry out their duties in a safe manner.
- Provide adequate arrangements and facilities to enable employees, facilitators and tutors to raise issues of health and/or safety.
- Maintain a system of audit and review to ensure the Health, Welfare, and Safety of employees is maintained in line with experience and new developments or legislation.
