What We Do
Imagine You Can….help young people. We help young people to be the best they possibly can be.
We realise that quite simply there isn't actually that much for them to "do"; you can only Facebook, Twitter, watch X Factor, play on the "Wii" or strut your stuff on Guitar Heroes for so long!
We realise they want (and need) to be in a place where they are treated with respect and not herded around like sheep! At Imagine we believe it's vital to help cure the "boredom factor" in a fun, funky and educational way. With like minded people.
We take 4 key elements: education, sport, health and the arts and essentially, join up the dots! Working with schools, young people and a variety of partners we deliver week long "themed" workshops in dancing, singing, filming, marketing, media and enterprise. And the best bit? All students then get the chance to perform, promote, film and edit the live pre-match entertainment show at a professional sports club…in front of thousands of people. We also offer the option of an indoor live show should schools and pupils prefer for a close up and personal experience. Sounds good? That's because it is.
Our Imagine "crew" are all from business and industry relevant backgrounds – they live and breathe what we do and more importantly listen to young people. Some of our tutors are even former pupils, yes we really do believe in giving people a chance; you will see for yourself just how good they are! It also helps that we've worked in the entertainment industry for years – because we love it! Our team have literally put on hundreds of live shows and events all over the globe and worked with everyone from Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, Meatloaf, Spandau Ballet through to shows at Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday, QPR, Charlton Athletic, Sheffield United, Nottingham Forest, Bradford Bulls, Newcastle Falcons and the cool folk at little old Yeovil Town.
It does of course go without saying that they are fully up to speed on the latest Government research – if it's out there we know all about it and work to the same goals. But Imagine You Can is more than that; we don't blow with the latest wind, trend or media narrative. Our goals, methods and outcomes remain the same: to make a change for the better to young people's lives. Rest assured, no matter what the latest research, we still make a difference and always will. The very name "Imagine You Can" says it all; we are about them, the youngsters who deserve an opportunity to have fun, make a change and find their talent, whatever it is.
What have we achieved you ask? Well, quite simply we bring changing attitudes, improve behaviour, enhance talent, build on the core curriculum subject skills and improve attendance (massively). All this goes hand in hand with smiles on faces while they have fun, learn and embrace the programme.
